About the position
This position will enhance your human resource skills and will prepare you for future opportunities. In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of duties such as maintaining shared email accounts by replying to emails, voice mail, phone calls, calendar scheduling, and responding to basic inquires/issues from hiring managers, small agencies, division liaisons, DES customers, employees, and applicants. Most of the work will be performed using Microsoft Office Suite, attending meetings, and collaborating with various DES team members. Other primary tasks include being responsible for maintaining personnel and recruitment files.
Who you are
You are enthusiastic and proficient in performing a variety of paraprofessional, technical, and clerical tasks in the support of the DES HR team and its customers. You enjoy serving as first line support to employees, managers, and DES and small agency liaisons. You also understand the importance of confidentiality in the work we do. Finally, you are someone who is organized, can handle being interrupted, able to prioritize, and possesses skills to ensure compliance with legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
