We are looking for dynamic and experienced individuals who want to pursue an exciting and rewarding career in telecommunications. Our current open positions are for tower leads, and Foreman. You will be working in an energetic field team setting, building cell sites in the state of Utah, Nevada, and occassionly Idaho. You will be assisting in leading and building structural projects, site modifications, upgrades, new site builds, decoms, rooftop installations, network upgrades, and operational tower maintenance.
At Walker Cellular INC., you will be trained on the latest technologies in telecommunications, methods and safe work practices. You will be provided access to many career progression opportunities. You will work closely with a field-based team, to develop your skills and experience.
Our warehouse and office is located in Ogden, Utah.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Ericsson, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon.
- ComTrain or equivalent certification.
- OSHA 10 Certification Minimum, 30 preferred
- Prior First Aid Certification. New training and cert will be provided.
- Anritsu Site Master Certified is a plus.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting Hybrid Cables, RRU, Antennas, RET, Microwave and Radio Equipment, etc.
- Talon View and VSS COP process
- Man lift and heavy equipment experience.
- Self-starters with the desire and ability to continue learning and retain new information.
- Team players with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to exercise flexibility in challenging and/or perplexing situations
- Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environments
- Ability to train other employees on installation practices.
Additional Information

- You can be available for occasional weekends and rotational assignments (2-3 weeks)
- Experience working outside in different inclement of weather
- It’s a bonus if you have past construction experience, but it’s not a deal-breaker
- You should be adaptable. In telecom, plans are constantly shifting. While we do our best to keep our teams updated and prepared, it helps to be flexible and willing to adapt to changing plans.
- You take initiative. Doing your part to help the collective team work better and faster is vital. Waiting to be instructed on each and every step and/or being significantly outworked by your peers doesn’t pay off in the long run.

Schedule:
- Overtime
- Typically the schedule is 5 x 12 hours days depending on the site.
Per Diem:
- $40 Per diem per night to stay out of town in Utah
- More Per diem benefits for outside or Utah stay
- We cover the cost of lodging.

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
