Wall Recycling Hiring for Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job at Raleigh, NC Full Time

Maintains a working knowledge of the following vehicle and equipment components and systems, with the ability to perform preventative and repair maintenance functions:

• Chassis component repair and maintenance
• Refuse bodies and heavy equipment, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; and air and hydraulic braking systems
• Engine repair and maintenance
• Suspension, drive-train and steering systems; and Heating and air conditioning
• Safely provides road service when necessary to ensure that our equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs line maintenance welding and fabrication
• Identifies the source of the malfunctions using a variety of electronic tools.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years experience as a diesel mechanic
• Some welding experience preferred
• Working knowledge of safe working practices, DOT, OSHA, and other federal and state regulations
• Strongly prefer prior supervisory/management experience
