Duties & responsibilities
- Prepare proposals and supporting documents for customers.
- Prepare budget plans including investigation of similar systems, OCRs and vendor quoting.
- Concept automation solutions and prepares layouts needed for proposals.
- Perform calculations as required to validate proposed equipment with customer requirements.
- Prepare vendor/supplier RFQ packages required for outsourcing, cross entity content.
- Manage and maintain task request databases.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
Main tasks / responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret customer RFQ and specification documents.
- Collaborate with internal departments to achieve costing, concepts and capabilities for execution.
- Select and validate companies’ products, engineering or third-party content.
- Perform engineering support for sold projects and update pre-sales calculations based on final design.
- Act as a technical consultant for design engineers as required to support optional and custom equipment.
- Support account managers and customer service with on-site support for customers including:
- Technical line ups / application reviews
- Technical presentations
- Process and equipment troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Education in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined work experience consisting of 10+ years in automation engineering or related fields.
- Strong technical understanding of automation.
- English language proficiency.
Work experience requirements
- 5 years working with configurable technical products or manufacturing environments.
- 2D ACAD proficiency and basic capability with 3D CAD.
- Familiarity with PLC, HMI and/or Robot Controllers.
- User experience with Microsoft Office.

- Ability and willingness to be on-site at company offices daily.
- Must have reliable and available transportation and driver’s license.
- Must be willing and able to travel overnight both domestically and internationally.
