What You Will Do

The home base for this dream job is in Downtown Los Angeles. The following is a sneak peek into what an HR Manager looks like:

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of HR as an overall generalist.
• Be very data focused and love being in the midst of it all.
• Ensure we follow those California laws and stay on track with our own policies and procedures.
• Oversee our compensation data on an on-going basis to ensure competitive salaries for our employees.
• Recruit and hire using our tools to make sure we hire the best people for our credit union.
• Manage our HRIS systems, benefits, including LOAs and open enrollment.
• Lead successful Audits – here is where compliance and accuracy is key!
• Assist with payroll and reporting.
• Coordinate vendor compliance.
• Manage new hire orientation and projects.
• Handle some training and employee relations within our team.
• Promote a creative, engaged workforce with activities and participation.
• Facilitate separations of employment.
• Perform additional duties on our endless list of all to accomplish.

Who You Are

You are a really strong HR Manager. You are detail oriented and like to get into the data part of HR but yet have a creative side.
In addition:

• You are dedicated and motivated with excellent communication skills.
• You respect confidentiality. You handle all matters confidentially and with discretion.
• You have excellent servant leadership skills.
• You have 5+ years of similar or related experience.
• You are approachable and have the knack to assist others with issues.
• You are flexible and adapt to change.
• You are able to collaborate, follow direction, be a team player, yet work independently.
• You problem-solve and exercise good judgment.
• You have skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• You have a solid knowledge of HR best practices, local, state and federal employment laws.
• You are detail oriented. (This bears worth repeating.) You will love data.
• You have been complimented on your communication skills and pride yourself on being able to vocalize “I love working in a group and facilitating the best possible outcome!”

Other Important Information

You’ll be asked to work Monday through Friday—40 hours per week. Right now we work remote but that is subject to change. You’ll use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers and filing cabinets. The position also requires manual dexterity—the ability to lift files and flex paperclips. You may be required to stand on one leg, tap your head, and compound daily variable interest in your head. Just kidding—nobody can do that on one leg.
