We are looking to fill our newly open position, Director of Human Resources.
Ensure that payroll is submitted accurately and promptly on a bi-weekly basis. This will include monitering in and out punches in our system and entering all placeholders in our system for bonuses as well as for various other items.
Develop, implement and maintain an adequate personnel filing system that is in compliance with all regulatory requirements under licenses governing the community
Moniter and maintain all annual regulatory compliance requirements regarding employees (For example CENA license verification, OIG, Sanction checks, background check’s, I-9 verification, etc.)
Actively participates in unemployment hearings, grievance proceedings as well as EEOC claims etc.
Interpret policies and procedures to personnel, resident’s and visitors, etc as neccessary or required
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc, and submitting to the Administrator if required
Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel and discipline department staff. Supports community personnel from other departments through through coaching and mentoring to help achieve optimum standads of excellence. Addresses issues of concern through conversation and notifies department management of any interaction that requires attention
Participates in orientating new associates and explain Human Resource policies and procedures, payroll procedures, safety/smking regulations, grievance procedures etc, as established in our operational policies and procedures
Participates in the Safety Committee and Compliance Committee on a monthly basis
Participates in QAPI meeting and give report for HR responsibilities for that meeting on a quarterly basis
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations
Consistently demonstrates (Leads by example) Sanctuary Values to all internal and external customers (Residents, visitors, volunteers and employees) Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, propagating a calm environment throughout the facility
Consult with department managers in selection, staffing, evaluating employee performance, compensation, corrective action, discharge and training and development needs
Assist in employee investigations arising from alleged violations of policies and procedures. Support department leaders on the appropriate course of action based on policy and ensuring consistency of disciplinary actions
Manage leave administration including FMLA, LOA, worker’s compensation, etc
