Joining the R&D Team
The lead product designer works closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to develop solutions that help employers and talents find each other and ease the process of hiring and recruiting. We’re addressing the needs of employers with pressing hiring needs while balancing a two-sided marketplace.

As our Lead Product Designer, you’ll support Wavely’s success by:

• Lead product design at Wavely, collaborating with stakeholders to accomplish business goals
• Motivate and empower designers on the team and help them understand the bigger picture
• Create cohesive design strategies for users across different types of devices
• Understand Wavely as a B2B and B2C marketplace, and design solutions that cater to the needs of both
• Align Wavely’s design language with our brand goals

Lead Product Designer Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design process from ideation, wireframe, hi-fidelity mockups, implementation, QA walkthroughs, and continuously improve the product
• Recruit and retain product designers who will shape the team
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to deliver design solutions that align with our business objectives
• Incorporate qualitative and quantitative research approaches and leverage data in your decision-making process
• Empower and mentor designers on your team, fostering a collaborative environment
• You’ll also manage up to 2 designers on the team, enable them to learn and grow

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in visual and interaction design
• Experience working on desktop Web, responsive Web and mobile products, understand the different constraints across devices
• Strong understanding of functions you’ll work closely with, e.g. frontend engineering, mobile engineering, product management, marketing, brand
• Excellent proficiency in Figma

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing native mobile experiences is a huge plus
• Previous people management or team lead experience
• Previous experience in implementing a component library
• Working with a design system is a plus
• HTML/CSS skills is a plus

Pay: $175,000.00 – $225,000.00 per year
