The Director of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations’ HR operations. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals. As a strategist and thought leader, you will successfully lead our organization to success through progressive human capital strategies. You will lead our Human Resources team to accomplish key business objectives, implement cultural and organizational change.

• Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization’s long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management.
• Identifies key performance indicators for the organization’s human resource and talent management functions; assesses the organization’s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics.
• Identify and implement technology solution to evolve human resources into a more technology-based service standard to streamline HR processes while reducing administrative burdens, compete more efficiently for global talent, improve service and access to relevant data for all levels of the organization, provide real-time metric to allow decision-makers to spot trends and manage the workforce with accurate data, and increase employee engagement through customized feedback and communication tools.
• Lead and participate in organizational development strategies the involve changing and improving processes, structure, and systems related to performance management, talent management, diversity, employee wellness, and operation excellence.
• Provide organizational leadership as a key member of the senior management team through mentorship, accountability, and business excellence to improve efficiencies, talent, and profitability.
• Participate and/or lead targeted marketing objectives to support proper employment branding, community awareness, and improve brand message to employees.
• Proactively leading human resources strategies and programs firmwide to build an effective and inclusive high-performance culture, and to attract and retain talent within the organization.
• Setting near-term priorities to support the business, while simultaneously developing long-term human resources initiatives to support the growth of the firm and its bold initiatives.
• Setting the vision and direction for the HR function, including workforce planning, learning & development, total rewards, performance management and employee relations
• Designing and executing a compelling HR strategy by developing a keen understanding of the firm’s goals, strategies, and inclusive culture needed
• Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
• Provides guidance and leadership to the human resource management team; assists with resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues.
• Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
• Drafts and implements the organization’s staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department.
• Leading and/or actively contributing to taskforces and committees focused on driving firm initiatives and priorities.
• Being a trusted advisor to leaders throughout the organization as they navigate through change and challenging situations.
• Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
• Designs or redesigns an effective performance management system which aligns with the organization’s mission, strategic direction, objectives, and culture. The performance management process is a practical and easy to understand and use system that provides an accurate picture of each employee’s performance.
• Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization. In particular, manages the human resource information systems and provides necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization.
• Directs and leads the process of employee engagement across the entire organization.
• Uses a proven approach to strategic workforce planning to ensure that there is alignment between the people and business strategies needed both in the short term and long term.
• Participates in the development of the organization’s plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on people.
• Maintains knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues. Understands the differences of domestic and international policies and programs and coordinates the integration of all such programs.
• Develops progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Director of Human Resources Education/Experience Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, master’s or law degree highly preferred.
• At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential, or have the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
