Position Summary:
We’re currently looking for a Assistant HR Manager to join our team to provide ownership of key Human Resources areas. Expected to deliver results that sustain high performance work in a unionized food manufacturing environment. Responsible for administration of employee engagement actions, labor relations, salaried benefits, medical leaves, and Recruiting.
What You’ll Do:
Monitors plant culture, plans, and executes key actions to improve employee engagement.
Administer labor relations, including resolving conflict proactively, and grievance handling.
Manage employee relations, including conducting investigations and recommending and assisting in the development of corrective action documentation.
Tracking, monitoring, and administering medical leaves in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Coaching and developing managers on performance management and consistent application of company policies.
Lead the recruitment process for salaried positions, including selection and onboarding.
Review and recommend changes to operational methods in order to improve workflow, simplify procedures, and reduce costs.
Assist in the administration of benefits.
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with HR Manager and leadership teams on projects.
Who You Are:
Takes personal responsibility for executing actions in Human Resources to drive improvements in employee engagement and overall plant performance.
Demonstrates understanding of manufacturing principles and priorities to meet or exceed the highest Quality standards.
Ensures efforts and results are within budgetary requirements.

Exhibits growth mindset, specifically, in hearing and understanding feedback then making adjustments to improve performance and work relationships.
What You’ll Need:
A Bachelor degree is strongly preferred or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years previous Human Resources Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment. Unionized workforce experience required.
Flexibility to work other hours and additional hours as needed during peak demand.
