We are a busy, private OB / GYN practice located on the MGB-Newton-Wellesley Hospital campus with satellite offices in Newton-Corner, Waltham, Walpole and Natick . Description of role:
We are seeking a team player that is eager to contribute to the positive patient experience.
We are hiring a medical office support person that will be compassionate yet efficient in managing our high volume of calls. You will be joining a group of efficient and experienced medical office support staff that share many responsibilities. We provide a supportive environment to learn and develop. You must be friendly, detail oriented, have excellent communication skills and highly motivated to work as part of a team.
This position requires your full attention, reliability, timeliness and flexibility.
This position will require coverage of satellite offices.
Skills and requirements:
2-3 years in a clinical office setting preferred, OB/GYN preferred, 1 year required.
Team player
Exceptional communication skills; professional
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Strong typing skills and Electronic Medical Records, Epic preferred.
Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, helpful
High School Diploma required.
Reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
Answering multiple phone lines efficiently, registering and updating patient demographic information, scheduling office appointments, office procedures as directed by protocols.
Efficiently working within our EMR- Epic, to respond to physicians referrals and schedule patients in a timely manner, verify insurance eligibility, direct patient appointment scheduling.
Scheduling radiology exams and consults with specialists
Prior authorizations, verifying insurance eligibility, completing disability forms
Responsibilities will include, without limitation, all generally accepted office responsibilities
Must protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Work schedule:
Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:25 – 5:00, hours may include rotations to our satellite offices with varying hours. Must have reliable transportation.
