Description
The position will support the “two- person” delivery driver & helper (employee or independent contracted contractors) and associated personnel in a fast-paced, environment. Supports all facets of the operation, transportation, and delivery operations, and ensures processes and communications are aligned to meet and exceed client requirements. Ensures positive customer experience and positive client partnership. Directs the development of all warehouse personnel and operations, as well as contracted delivery partners to support the client relationship.
Qualifications
- College degree required with preference for business and logistics related fields.
- Demonstrated experience with a cross dock business model.
- Must have Warehouse / Retail Stock Room / Distribution environment experience.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Lift 80-100 lbs.
- Bending, lifting, standing for long periods of time.
- Scanning with hand held scanner.
- Bilingual Spanish / English
Responsibilities
- Own and ensure operation is within compliance & established service levels via KPI and proactive engagement w/ all related personnel including both internal organization and customers for the below areas.
- Personally check in returning merchandize
- Import shipment information processing to avoid inventory issue.
- Timely customs process & related transport coordination
- Effective communication and clear visibility on shipment progression and/or delays
- Solution development & execution of shipment recovery to preserve original service expectation
- Develop & maintain partnership w/ delivery carriers/forwarders to meet evolving business needs
- Ensure operational process adherence to uphold standard on both import/export trade compliance controls
- Process development and management for import/export processing, including but not limited to information management, inventory, compliance.
- Assist immediate manager and team in daily import operations
- Develop & drive operations related projects through standard project cycles from creation to completion/evaluation
- Rate quotation support & related carrier/forwarder contract management support
- Track & trace inventory & related status/data visibility
- Support & coordination with delivery carriers & internal businesses
- All related KPI development, monitoring, & enforcement
- Coordinate with management, peers, and other internal/externa cross functional teams to uncover operational opportunities and develop corresponding processes/solutions
- Physical delivery & corresponding tracking data visibility
- Lead and support daily operation via daily collaboration & proactive engagement w/ direct report & other related service providers
