Furniture Prepper: Quality Control & Warehouse Associate

Tuesday to Saturday

Hours TBD Could be 8 hour shift starting at 5:30am OR 12noon

Dress Code: Warehouse industrial.

Warehouse Location: Tomlinson Dr, Zelienople, PA 16063

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and complete shipments by processing product for shipment
• Assemble furniture while ensuring quality check complete before packaging and shipping
• 
  Sanding (using pneumatic hand-held tool and by hand) and repairing furniture when warranted / wood & upholstery (1 or more years experienced)
• Ensure hardware placement on furniture is complete and deficiencies (blemishes) on furniture are corrected before shipping (Fill and smooth cracks or depressions, remove marks and imperfections and repair/modify furniture)
• Potentially organize and maintain the Sample Board program (work with colleagues in various departments, correspond with sales representatives, build sample kits, cut and stain samples when required)
• Organize the warehouse
• Light sanding, touch ups with aerosol topcoat; operate hand-drill
• Picks orders for transport as necessary
• Assembling furniture for delivery
• Place furniture in boxes for shipping
• Put cardboard away
• Tag furniture as it is unloaded from truck
• Fold moving blankets as necessary
• Label boxes
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat to comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• Maintenance as requested
• Build boxes for packaging (using box machine) if necessary
• Other duties related to warehousing not listed may be required
• Must be comfortable working with hands and display an aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic, and/or carpentry services
• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and professionalism at all times
• Knowledge of mixing paints, powders and stains to match existing finishes
• Ability to repair, replace, and rebuild damaged leather, upholstery furniture, or mechanical parts
• Ability to set up and operate tools such as power drills, sanders, saws, and other tools required for repair
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience in a furniture / leather touch up / auto body touch up (1 or more years experienced)
• On-the-job flexibility allows for easy movement between tasks
• Conscientious and able to distinguish between colors
• Good verbal communication skills

• Ability to bend, kneel, and stretch is needed for the role
