West Shore Home Hiring for Vice President of Supply Chain at Mechanicsburg, PA Full Time

As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Operations team located at our Corporate HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by building, scaling, and continually improving the company’s supply base aligned with our financial goals and visions for growth.

As the VP of Supply Chain at West Shore Home®, you will contribute to this mission by overseeing the entire supply chain for high volume materials and products. You will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and work closely with our teams in Finance, Accounting, Legal, Sales, and Inside Operations.

What You’ll Contribute

In this role, you can expect to:

• Ensure the company purchases, logistically locates, and maintains proper inventories for the products
• Make strategic vendor selections and maintain close working relationships with our entire supply base
• Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials, efficient holistic logistics and inventory management
• Determine vendor effectiveness and compliance using KPIs and scorecards to measure performance
• Identify new potential vendors for lower cost, higher quality, shorter lead-times, and for supplier risk mitigation
• Build a team that meets the needs of the company’s strategies and growth

What It Takes To Succeed

• A drive for continuous improvement towards unconstrained demand, lowest landed cost, and shortest lead-time products to every individual branch operation
• Ability to take decisive and immediate actions in the event of any potential supply disruptions
• Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills
• Prior experience building RFQs (Request for Quotes), implementing lean principles and tools, and working with freight carriers
• 10 years of supply chain experience in a $500M or larger company
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, logistics, supply chain or equivalent
• CPPB, CPPO, or equivalent certification preferred
