The Clark School of Environment & Sustainability at Western Colorado University invites applicants for a tenure-track, full time, faculty position connecting the fields of climate action planning and environmental justice to prepare students for sustainability careers.

Duties:
Responsibilities include coordinating the Climate Action Planning emphasis; teaching up to 24 annual credits of undergraduate courses (depending on leadership roles); advising and recruiting students, general service to initiatives across campus; and building the program through recruiting, mentorship, and career placement for students the 140-student undergraduate Environment & Sustainability program. Successful candidates will be well suited to teach courses on climate policy, climate action planning, and/or quantitative skills. Candidates able to contribute to students’ career readiness by developing an internship program that connects students to climate policy and action planning professions and to organizations like and including those in the School’s network are especially encouraged to apply.

SALARY/BENEFITS: This is a 9-month commitment, with a salary of $50,000-$55,000. Candidates interested in teaching and mentoring in Clark School graduate programs for a 12-month commitment have a possibility of increasing the salary by $15,000. Benefits include an employee/employer shared contribution retirement plan and life and health insurance. After one year of employment, dependents qualify for tuition waivers to attend Western.
