The Facilities Management Department at WWU is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to
join our team. This position provides a variety of skilled work to assist in the repair and
maintenance of the University’s academic facilities. The successful applicant will have a
minimum of four years of commercial/institutional, journey-level experience in at least one of
the following trades: mechanic, plumber, electrician, or HVAC technician.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Repairing and maintaining a wide variety of mechanical equipment including plumbing,
electrical, and HVAC.
Assisting plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and technicians in troubleshooting
mechanical issues as needed.
Identifying and reporting safety concerns within the academic buildings.
Working in a timely manner on scheduled building maintenance and client’s work orders.
