Westfields Hospital Hiring For Dietary Aide at New Richmond, WI  Full Time

Job Description:

Qualifications include: Previous experience in hospital food preparation preferred. Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Director, the Dietary Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties as well as other related tasks.

• Prepares food trays for general and therapeutic diets.
• Prepares and delivers items as requested by patients or departments.
• Assists in preparing and plating salads, desserts and nourishments.
• Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Prepares special diet foods as necessary.
• Delivers food carts to patient care units. Returns carts to kitchen at designated times.
• Prepares tables for catering events according to requests.
• Works hospital cafeteria food line and restocks condiments and food as needed.
• Loads and washes dishes in dishwasher or pot sink.
• Puts clean dishes and utensils away.
• Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner as needed.
• Performs special cleaning duties as assigned by the Nutrition Services Director.
• Observes sanitation control practices at all times
• Maintains kitchen in a clean, neat and organized manner.
• Cross trains for a minimum of two positions in the Dietary Department.
• Understands or is able to seek out assistance in dealing with specific age groups.
• Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
• Completes annual education requirements.
• Completes annual education requirements.
• Attendance at department staff meetings is mandatory.
• Attends meetings, as appropriate.
• Safely use and monitor chemical and cleaning agents.
