Summary:

In this role, you will act as a mechanic within the Research and Development department. You will work with the Product Development team to test and confirm fit, form, and function of newly designed performance automotive lighting products. Attention to detail and sound critical judgement will be crucial along with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and priorities. Knowledge of automotive mechanic best practices will be necessary, ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

· Uninstalling stock vehicle bodywork and lighting

· Installing product prototypes/samples

· Executing specified checks, tests, or measurements

· Oversee off-vehicle bench testing of products at various stages of development

· Oversee the product development lab/garage

· Collaborate with product development team

Requirements:

· 2+ years of mechanic experience and skills

· Expertise in removal/installation of late model automotive body work and lighting

· Working knowledge of automotive 12v systems including best practices for soldering, wiring, connectors, etc. in an automotive space

· Ability to follow a testing plan and create test reports

· Keen attention to detail

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred:

· ASE certification

· Custom fabrication skills

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
