Wide Eyes Paper Co. is a full-service design studio that specializes in unique watercolor wedding stationery. After 12 years in business, with a strong foothold in the wedding invitation space, the company is under new ownership and eager to hit “refresh.”
Wide Eyes Paper Co. is seeking creative talent with a strong understanding of graphic design production to support the company and clients in bringing their stationery dreams to life. This role will oversee the graphic design production process for all stationery offerings. The bulk of our designs are wedding-centric.
This is a 100% remote, hourly part-time role with flexible arrangements. Our team communicates via email, Slack, Zoom, and project management tools. This role will work with company owners to oversee the production process end-to-end, including initial file set-up, proof creation, client intake, and revision process through submission to the printer. You will engage with both internal team members as well as clients and vendors.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in file setup, production, printing best practices, and graphic design
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, OR experience equivalent to a degree
• Must be able to adhere to a high standard of quality while meeting deadlines
• Skilled in Adobe Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
• Track record of handling and prioritizing multiple tasks
• Strong organizational and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and personal accountability for the quality and timeliness of work
• Familiarity with or willingness to become proficient in various project management and communication tools (Bonus if you’re comfortable with Slack, ClickUp, Sync, Dropbox, and Dubsado)
• An ability to match and elevate current brand aesthetics
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and printing
• Passion for weddings is a plus as you’ll mainly be working on wedding-related designs!
Responsibilities:
• Production graphic design services including, but not limited to: Project Management, Graphic Design, Stationery Layouts, Revisions, and Coordination with Illustrators, Clients, and Vendors.
• Develop client proofs in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
• Utilize client feedback to make proof revisions
• Communicate and present design concepts for client approval, both internally and externally
• Ensure files are print-ready for production, and liaise with printing partners to ensure order correctness and quality.
• Assist with customer service, including answering client questions, providing design advice, and sharing order updates.
• Contribute innovative design ideas and concepts to enhance our existing templates and delight our clients
Requirements:
• Must have an Apple computer compatible with the newest Adobe suite
• Must have reliable WiFi
• Enthusiasm for creativity, learning, and a great attitude
• A keen attention to detail
• Generally accessible during standard business hours
• Preference is for Eastern time zone (New England residents), but we are willing to expand our radius for the right candidate
Compensation:
• This is an hourly part-time position, with the potential to become full-time in the future.
• Hours are flexible but need to be adaptable to manage the workload. Depending on the time of year, the weekly workload can range from 10-35 hours/week
• This position pays $20-$30/hour depending on experience.
• Payment will be made on a weekly basis in line with RI state pay practices.

About the Owners
We are a husband (Scott) and wife (Tracy) team residing in beautiful Rhode Island. (The official team mascot is our German Shepherd Zara!) Scott spent over a decade in college athletics and now consults for sports technology startups, while Tracy is a former management consultant-turned-scuba diving expo planner and magazine editor. We love hiking, cooking, and exploring with our pup. And we’re passionate about building a brand and business focused on exceptional products and customer experience.
