Wine Fusion Winery is a small team of skilled and passionate people truly dedicated to producing the best wines possible and providing our customers with unparalleled service. We are currently looking for Tasting Room Specialists. We need primarily weekend help and some weekdays as well. We will be ok with hiring a couple of people that can only work 1 or 2 days a week. This can be part time or full time work for you. We are a tasting room/full restaurant with a full bar as well.
Job Description
We are looking for a high-energy, positive, customer-service minded individual to help ensure a rich consumer experience, build consumer loyalty and reflect Wine Fusion Winery as a family-friendly unpretentious Texas wine tasting experience. The individual we seek will be able to work in a fast-paced, customer-friendly environment with the ability to multitask and work efficiently and effectively. Under minimum supervision, Tasting Room Specialist works as part of a team, is able to follow directions, but also a critical thinker who seeks to improve processes and find ways to help us continue to grow.
Job Qualifications
Experience in the hospitality, retail, sales or related job in the public sector. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with guests and be very customer-service minded with endurance for the physical demands of the job. We will train the right person, no experience needed.
This position is year-round and paid hourly plus tips and commissions.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
Open and/or close tasting room.
Assist customers quickly greeting each person within 15 seconds.
Execute wine quality control procedures.
Possess ability to interact effectively and professionally with a wide range of contacts, i.e. a wine novice and Master Sommelier, co-workers, media, vendors.
Ask open-ended questions, offer friendly, helpful sales,
Ensure that customers have an exceptional experience, want to return and take away a positive brand image and reference of Wine Fusion Winery.
Assist customers in tasting room, whether that be through giving wine tastings, selling them wine, allowing them to pick up their wine club wines, helping put together a gift basket, or shipping wines out for them.
Sell wine, wine club memberships, conduct tastings Demonstrate knowledge of brand awards and accolades.
Function as an informed resource for customers regarding winemaking, wine growing, wine vintages and availability of products.
Operate point-of-sale software quickly and effectively to make transactions.
Take private event inquiries and direct them to Event Manager.
Represents our brand at special events and pouring opportunities as needed — both onsite and offsite. Some local travel may be required.
Other Responsibilities
General cleaning tasks involved in keeping our tasting room inviting, restocking accessories.
Stay informed about what is going on at the winery regarding Wine Fusion hosted events, private events, on-the-road events, wine trail events, wine specials, awards, etc.
Dress professionally.
Keep things neat and clean while working, by bussing tables, cycling glasses through the dishwasher, and periodically checking bathrooms, trash, etc.
Stock wine, glassware, merchandise and other items as needed.
Maintain clean and orderly environment.
Maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
Answer telephones, responding to phone inquiries, and taking detailed and accurate messages.
Update customer information regarding their membership: credit card, contact info, etc.
Enter new customer/contact information.
Supports with other administrative duties as directed by the Manager.
Keep TABC certification up-to-date. (TABC Certification not required for hire. This can be secured at a later date.)
