About the role
This position will work with our Culinary Engineering team to develop and implement methods to check for stability and maturity in raw ingredients to ensure products meet the required standards, quality, and nutrient values.
We are looking for an innovative Food Scientist not only to provide technical expertise, but to assist with the development of new products as well as improving current processes with the goal of delivering the highest quality products to our customers. The Food Scientist will help ensure the company stays on the forefront of new industry developments and product innovations.
To be successful in this role, you should interpret and apply scientific findings to food, know how to translate business objectives into clear project goals while adhering to GMP and other safety regulations.
Starting Salary: $130k
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
- Ability to use internal and external sources to make technical scientific advances.
- Experience with food preservation methods such as pasteurization, modified atmosphere packaging, etc.
- Prior experience working with fresh packaged food such as salads, sauces, and cooked entrees focusing on quality and best in class food preservation.
- Knowledge and understanding of data science.
