Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HRM) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations HR operations. The HRM is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
OVERSIGHT OF LOCAL HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENTS
· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Maintain accurate Open Position Log based on positions approved by VP of HR and VP of Operations.
· Post open positions, schedule interviews using Hiring Recommendation Checklist.
· Contact candidates to confirm the hiring information (as arranged / negotiated by the supervisor) and schedule New Hire Orientation.
· Conduct New Hire Orientation- for all new employees, complete onboarding, sign-off on Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, Photo Release, Chaplain Acknowledgement, safety video
· Oversees the Safety Trainings, conducts safety meeting with staff and creates a safety monthly committee
· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.
· Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
· Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level HR staff.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Oversight of benefits
· 401k Plan- Administrator Assistant
· Insurance Plan- Life, Health, Supplemental
· Open Enrollment- work with Corporate HR to schedule Open Enrollment dates as identified on annual calendar.
· Facilitate local Insurance Open Enrollment Meetings.
· Schedule and facilitate Insurance Meetings each month for newly eligible employees to explain insurance benefits. Collect new election forms and enter into Benefits Connect. Submit forms to Payroll to enter into Paycom.
· Coordinate with external benefit companies to schedule meetings as approved by Corporate HR.
· Vacation Policies- maintain, amend, approve variances
· Hearing Testing- schedule, maintain documents
Safety
· OSHCON Visits- schedule, facilitate visit, write-up
· Facilitate Accident Investigations
· Manage OSHA Logs
· Schedule and Send out Monthly Safety Topic
· Monthly Safety Walk, one department per month
· Maintain Safety Binder with Safety Topics and employee sign in sheet
· Monthly Lock-Out/Tag- Out Audits
· Maintain Lock- Out/Tag-Out Binder with employee Name and lock # and audits
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite- Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize departmental workloads
· Proficient in speaking, presenting and training small and large groups.
· Demonstrated ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, and independence
· Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with external customers
· Demonstrate ability to effectively lead, facilitate, and participate as a member of a cross functional teams
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· A minimum of five (5) years of human resource management experience preferably in the Manufacturing field.
· Bilingual highly Preferably

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
