We are looking for a customer focused HR Professional to join our team!

YPPI is looking for an experienced HR Generalist that wakes up in the morning with a passion for people thriving on servant leadership. This champion HR Generalist will support our highly automated world-class manufacturing facility built around creating long term highly skilled value-add jobs. This person will be joining an HR and Safety team of six offering a great support team to lean on. Recruitment

• Create job descriptions to align with company initiatives and support company values and culture
• Partner with the HR Team to support the recruiting process: job postings, both internal and external, screen resumes and candidates, write interview questions, schedule interviews, consult with hiring managers on best candidate to hire
• Consult with managers and HR team on strategies that will lead to successful hires, including pay, benefits, relocation pay and sign-on bonuses

General

• Acts as an HR point of contact for the Greenfield employee group through extensive engagement with departments and day-to-day connections with the employees
• Partners with the business managers to understand ongoing HR needs, anticipate them and provide timely solutions on people matters
• Follows established company practices to manage employee relations opportunities and assist managers in closing issues in a timely manner
• Create and provide company-wide training related to recruitment, benefits and HRIS systems.
• Change management: create content (e.g., flyers, newsletter, email messages) that champion change in a positive manner
• Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies, benefits and employment law
• Ensures that policies are reviewed and communicated to all employees and that the policies are compliant with applicable Federal and local laws and regulatory requirements
• Provides guidance and assistance on employee benefit plans as well as communicating benefits changes to the organization and assisting with Open Enrollment
• Support HR Manager in key Yamaha Marine Business Unit projects, such as, retention and turnover strategies, ADP/HRIS module implementations and roll-outs, and company survey management
• Partner with Recruiter to analyze Human Resources key metrics (turnover, exit interviews, days to fill positions, cost per hire) and utilize data for process improvements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field – OR – 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources or combination of education and experience
• PHR or SHRM certification a plus
• Working knowledge of State and Federal employment law, including harassment, discrimination and protected classes of employees
• Proficient knowledge in leaves of absence, proper hiring practices, progressive coaching, interactive process, and other primary responsibilities of Human Resources
• Proficient in MS Office (primarily Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Learning agility; the ability to absorb and act on new knowledge quickly
• Excellent attendance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Travel

• Ability to travel between our two facilities to support, as needed: Primary Location is in Greenfield, IN and Secondary/Support location is 21st and Ritter Avenue in Indianapolis, IN.
