YES Automotive is a family owned business that is growing each year. We have recently expanded our service department to include external customer work, and as a result we need to add another qualified service technician to our existing team. We currently have 6 lifts, a very skilled shop foreman, 3 additional techs, and one service writer. We have a great environment, we offer continuing education, we have strong knowledgeable leadership, and we offer incentive bonuses for high productivity & strong quality work. Pay is based on experience and we guarantee we will beat what you are currently making. We pay hourly instead of flat rate so you can have more stability week to week.
Automotive Technician Job responsibilities
- Perform accurate inspections of all vehicle operating components. I.E. engine, timing chains, transmission, suspension, electrical and accessory equipment
- Properly and effectively diagnose warning lights and other faults found
- Communicate recommendations of necessary repairs of vehicle inspected
- Ability to complete repairs in accordance with manufacture’s specifications
- Effectively use automotive programs such as pro demand and shop management software to communicate repair process
- Keep work area and shop equipment clean
Automotive Technician Job Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years automotive experience.
- Proficient in vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to use various tools and equipment (I.e., pneumatic tool, scan tool, shop press)
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time and lift objects up to 75lbs.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must have your own tools
- Hold a valid driver’s license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
