Do you like cooking? Working with kids? Have a heart for hospitality and service? WE ARE HIRING! Young Chefs Academy of Garden City is seeking hard working, outgoing individuals for lead teacher and assistant teacher part-time and full-time positions. We offer flexible hours and a fun environment where we teach the joy and value of cooking to young chefs from preschool to high school. Positions are based on weekly schedule of events, usually in weekday afternoons through early evening and some mornings as well as full days on Saturday and Sunday. Culinary degree NOT required but knowing your way around the kitchen and experience working with children is a plus. Experience working with children and culinary instruction preferred.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Teaching the art of cooking using curriculum-based recipes and culinary techniques from provided lessons and teaching guides in a fun environment.
- Preparing and resetting classrooms for events.
- Greeting and hosting students and parents.
- Light office duties and clean up.
- Programs include weekly classes, birthday parties, camps, field trips, workshops, and special events.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
