Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the functions of the Human Resources (HR) and Safety including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leave, developing and administering training, enforcing company policies and practices and leading a safety committee.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Collaborates with Finance to generate accurate bi-weekly payroll.
· Manages the talent acquisition process, which include recruitment, interviewing, scheduling, hiring and onboarding of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Analyzes trends in health and welfare benefits, with the assistance of brokers, to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Administers 401k Plan, coordinating service with the third-party administrator to ensure compliance with the Plan.
· Manages Workers Compensation benefits.
· Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs
· Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. Coordinates and develops all training.
· Oversees and provides guidance on employee discipline, terminations, and investigations.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Manages the Safety Program and coordinates efforts with the Safety Committee.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· Demonstrated Human Resources experience including payroll and benefits required.
· Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training materials required.
· A minimum of ten years of human resources, safety and training management experience preferred.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
· Manufacturing/production environment and small, family owned and operated business experience preferred.
· OSHA Safety administration and knowledge preferred.
· Proficient with HRMS, particularly Paycom, or related software required.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
