Zachry Industrial, Inc. is currently seeking a Logistics Manager (MOF SUPERVISOR) to support our PLNG project in Plaquemines Parish, LA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The MOF Supervisor delivers operational planning, coordination, and oversight for all MOF marine and cargo activities. Executes assigned work under the limited supervision and guidance of the MOF Manager. The candidate is required to effectively establish, foster, and maintain good relationships with the client and service providers while driving project execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Alternate Facility Security Officer.
• Planning, coordination, and field oversight of marine transport and heavy haul contractors for assigned vessels and cargoes (modules/oversize equipment).
• Review and address performance of marine transport and heavy haul contractors to support continuous operational improvement.
• Conduct regular inspections of facility, vessels, and contractor equipment.
• Resolve safety, security, and operational deficiencies.
• Provide support to the MOF Manager on operations, schedules, issues as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• 5+ years relevant supervisory or management work experience
• Experience in marine operations; terminal operations; stevedoring with an emphasis on heavy lift and roll on–roll off operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
• Ability to work where procedures are of a varied or diversified nature
• Ability to recognize timelines and deadlines to prioritize work accordingly
• Ability to effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders – often with potentially conflicting priorities and incentives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current or Former Zachry employee
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) with Marine Transportation or Logistics major
• Previous major capital project experience in fabrication yard or construction site
• Previous experience in Mississippi River vessel operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Required to communicate in person, via telephone, and email. Use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry, and move objects up to twenty-five pounds safely. Occasionally may adhere to extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Position is location on an industrial facility and will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and work boots.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Work will be in multiple environments including but not limited to an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on sites operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Noise levels will be moderate to high. Work environment will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
