As the Director of People Operations you will be responsible for defining and owning our talent strategy while ensuring our teams have the tools and resources needed to perform at their best. We’re looking for a seasoned people operations leader who’s helped high performing startups and companies scale through rapid growth. This is a highly-visible role that reports directly to our CEO and will lead our existing people operations team. You will be responsible for the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to performance management and growth. You will partner closely with our leadership team to build a performance oriented culture and define our talent strategy as we scale. Success is measured by building a culture where employees are engaged, embrace growth, and we achieve our ambitious goals while having fun along the way. What you will do:
Champion our values and build a performance driven culture so that we hire and retain world-class talent and push our teams to perform their best work.
Keep our talent engaged across every region by ensuring our teams are aligned, enabled, have strong mentors, and have fun in a high growth environment.
Be a key member of our leadership team who partners with finance to build our workforce plan, talent strategy, and metrics framework to enable rapid growth at scale.
Own the entire employee lifecycle. Lead your team to create high quality onboarding, goal setting, training, and performance management programs.
Ensure people operations remains a highly trusted and independent function in our company. Welcome employee feedback and build a positive workplace culture.
Create systems, processes, and controls to ensure we are in compliance with all local and federal employment laws and Zerocater policies.
Improve employee productivity by ensuring our talent has the tools, technology, and facilities they need to perform at their best.
Qualifications for Success:
10+ years experience as a people operations leader at a high-growth company.
Experience scaling talent at a startup / high growth company is highly preferred.
Experience in human resources is a must (HR systems, benefits, compensation, investigations, 401K, performance, terminations, etc…).
Experience building best in class people operations teams. Can hire and motivate high performing talent and be an inspiring leader and coach to your direct reports.
Experience scaling workplace, facilities, real estate, and IT functions.
Please note: This is a hybrid position is based at our San Francisco headquarters and will require you to be in the Bay Area. We are not offering relocation assistance for this role.
