Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. Hiring for Human Resources Business Partner at Schaumburg, Illinois Full Time

Zurich is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner. In this exciting opportunity you will leverage your human resources knowledge, business acumen and analytical mindset to partner with Human Resources Business Partners, BU/Function leadership and HR Centers of Excellence to execute on strategies and support the achievement of business goals through the delivery of organization design, strategic talent recommendations and accurate analysis.

Location: Schaumburg preferred; hybrid and virtual considered 
 
The Human Resources Business partner will be responsible for: 
 

• Advising and supporting executive leadership in HR best practices and processes to drive business results and ensure alignment across the organization 
• Developing, executing, and delivering a robust talent strategy for the units supported 
• Consulting with BU/Function leadership on employee issues, including advising on talent issues, selection, employee development, retention, compensation philosophy, re-structuring, and organizational development needs 
• Preparing and analyzing data to provide recommendations on workforce composition, organizational design, etc. 
• Providing HR consultation and recommendations regarding the annual performance development cycle, salary reviews, talent management and employee development 
• Coordinating regional initiatives across respective functions working in close coordination with the respective Center of Expertise 
• Supporting the HR workstreams of complex projects such as business transformation, restructuring or new business ventures. 
• Participating in HR projects with the support of Human Resources Business Partners 
• Provide strategic support around DIEB initiatives  
   

Basic Qualifications:  
 

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience within Human Resources 
  OR 
• Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience within Human Resources   
  OR 
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience within Human Resources  
   

Preferred Qualifications:   
 

• Knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis and design, diversity and inclusion, performance management and federal and state employment laws 
• HR consulting and problem diagnosis experience, including organization change management, human capital planning and employee relations 
• Insurance industry experience 
• Facilitation skills 
• Business acumen that includes general operational processes, financial management and business planning knowledge 
• Advanced HR Data analysis skills to include people analytics and dashboards 
• Strong ability to partner and build credibility at all levels 
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• PHR or SPHR Certification 
• MBA or Masters in HR
