In addition to the requirements listed below, for an Assistant Counsel, a minimum of 5 years of experience working in law firm or in-house law department. For an Associate Counsel, a minimum of 7 years of experience working in law firm or in-house law department.**Job Specific Qualifications****Basic Qualifications:**+ Bachelor’s Degree+ Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school in the United States+ Admitted to the bar in New Jersey (or ability to be admitted after hire)+ A minimum of five (5) years of experience working on regulatory matters before one or more state regulatory commissions**Required Competencies:**+ Excellent oral and written communication skills+ Excellent negotiation and drafting skills+ Legal analytical ability+ Professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer/client focus+ Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a diverse team+ Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity**Desired Qualifications and Competencies:**+ Experience before state regulatory agencies such as the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, the New York Public Service Commission, or other similar regulatory agencies+ Experience in utility ratemaking/rate cases+ Experience working as an attorney in an in-house corporate law department or regulatory agency**Minimum Years of Experience**5 years of experience**Education**Juris Doctorate**Certifications****Disclaimer**Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
