BILLING OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position Overview
We are seeking to hire our first Billing Operations Manager to help support and further the company’s growth objectives. Candidates will manage the Contract Management and Accounts Receivable (Invoicing) functions for the company, including booking of new contracts, change orders, creating invoices, credit memos, and organizing and tracking payment receipts. The Billing Operations Manager is also charged with reviewing contracts and supporting documentation, interpreting terms and conditions, making judgments when needed and ensuring jobs are booked and invoices generated in accordance with the terms and conditions and company policy. Successful candidates are highly analytical and are responsible for audit, reconciliation reporting and research projects. As a key part of the Finance team, the Billing Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring transactions are accurate, complete and timely.
Job Duties
Primary job duties will entail:
– Performs daily audits on booked contracts and ongoing job transactions
– Responds to internal and external inquiries related to jobs, invoicing and payments
– Works collaboratively both internally and cross-functionally
– Perform customer account reconciliations as necessary and address discrepancies promptly
– Gathers, collates and reports key billing information to Company leadership
– Responsible for upkeep of department dashboard, updating reports when requested
– Recognizes areas for improvement and efficiency and recommend changes
– Create and maintain the department’s standard operating procedures and process flows, ensuring all SOP’s are regularly reviewed, refreshed, published and trained upon internally
– Provide superior customer service to all internal and external business partners
– Contribute on projects related to process and system improvements
– Responsible for testing system and/or process changes to ensure processes are not adversely affected
– Build a team of Billing Operations personnel over time
Requirements
– Must be at least 18 years of age
– Must be able to speak English fluently
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
– Excellent conflict resolution skills and customer service skills
– Effective communication , organizational, planning skills, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines consistently
Compensation and Benefits
– Base Salary = $60,000 – $80,000
