Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree (Required)

Work Conditions:

• Ability to be mobile and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 60 Lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

Fun Pug Bike Rentals is a family-owned and operated small business offering bicycle, paddleboard, kayak rentals, and more! As well as a long-term bicycle rental program for our local property owners and sales of lightly used rental equipment. With the continued growth of the business, we are looking to hire an Operations Manager to assist with the companies day-to-day operations.

As an Operations Manager of Fun Pug, a lot of responsibility will rest on your shoulders. You will be responsible to lead the charge in every aspect of the business’s day-to-day operations and plans for future success, and you will be the one person ultimately accountable for setting the standard for amazing customer experiences and top-notch employee performance.

In other words, this is a job for someone who loves people and knows how to run a show. It requires strong leadership skills and the ability to build up the people around you. The primary roles of the Operations Manager are to create and maintain positive employee culture, to ensure top-level customer experience in a friendly environment, and to create and implement strategies that grow the business to improve company financial outcomes.

About You:

• You are mechanically inclined with a high aptitude for how things are constructed and de-constructed.
• You have 1+ years of experience as a mechanic in a fast-paced environment (Preferred)
• You have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• You are familiar with the local geography and are comfortable driving an extended-bed pickup truck.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are keen not to let things fall through the cracks.
• You are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• You can work independently to set efficient timelines and project goals.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment and are open to new ideas and methodologies to improve performance and processes.

Position Details

The primary responsibilities and areas of impact of this position include, but are not limited to:

Driving Company Performance

• Demonstrate and motivate service staff to exceed customer expectations and drive performance to the highest level.
• Motivate staff to keep repair times to a minimum while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Promote Fun Pug’s mission, values, and standards.

Managing Service Operations

• Create and monitor the daily repair schedule.
• Track and order service supplies and repair parts.
• Ensure service policies and procedures are adhered to and operations are efficient and safe.
• Create and maintain relationships with Fun Pug’s staff and vendors.

Developing Staff

• Encourage service staff to engage and create a positive atmosphere for Fun Pug’s customers and employees.
• Continually coach staff to improve customer service, maintenance techniques, and sales skills.
• Works closely with company Owner to develop solutions for individual needs.

Duties:

Including but not limited to the following:

• Recruit, lead, and develop all team members, ensuring the business is staffed appropriately.
• Build an engaged, passionate, high-performance team culture through coaching, mentoring, and leading by example.
• Lead the team to meet sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Set clear expectations and hold staff accountable for performance.
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated to and followed by all team members.
• Engage with customers, monitor feedback, and make appropriate adjustments to policy and customer service strategy.
• Build brand awareness, engagement, and community.
• Collaborate to develop goals, concepts, processes, and procedures which are strategic opportunities for the company.
• Use reporting to manage resources, staffing, purchasing, and operations in accordance with business priorities and goals.
• Communicate with ownership and the team and provide them with a variety of productivity and efficiency reports.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendor reps, customers, the local community, and other bicycle companies.
• Monitor industry trends to properly forecast vision for company direction including events, purchasing, staffing, etc.
• Manage creation and distribution of branded marketing materials including social media, email communication, website, etc.
• Ability to run entire business yourself as if it were your own company; as needed (required)
