Job Description

Freight Farms is looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented individual with a logistics background to coordinate delivery of our 40’ container farms. The individual will manage all aspects of farm delivery from end to end. Delivery methods are variable depending on customer location and may require the use of truck and/or vessel to transport our farms domestically and internationally. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of trailer types, rigging, cranes, port operation, HTS codes, incoterms, and customs clearance. Responsibilities:

• Work with the Logistics Manager and Client Services to ensure on time delivery of our container farms.

• Build and maintain good relationships with domestic and international vendors.

• Coordinate transport of container farms via ground and ocean.

• Analyze customer site location for possible obstacles and proactively find solutions.

• Determine key logistics KPIs.

• Institute process improvements that result in cost reductions and process efficiencies.

• Quote and negotiate price with multiple third party vendors.

• Build SOPs for domestic and international delivery.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, customer service, and finance teams.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in the Logistics Industry.

• Bachelor’s degree (bonus points if it’s in Logistics, Operations or similar relevant field).

• Ability to maintain robust reports to ensure timely deliveries of key products.

• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.

• Detail-oriented, analytical thinker and problem-solver.

• Team player.
