The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Bardstown, KY is looking for a Full Time, Exempt Director of Development. The Director will promote the mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth (SCN) by organizing and overseeing the fund development function of the Congregation. This includes establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with donors, organizing direct mail appeals, grant writing, organizing the Missionary Cooperative Program, overseeing the daily operation of fund development, overseeing the charitable gaming account, collaborating with the Eastern Province Development Office, and working with other directors in coordinating the overall advancement program. The Director supervises the coordinator of donor relations, the database administrator, database assistants, and development volunteers. Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred; minimum of three years related experience; knowledge of fund development and direct mail appeal process preferred. Ability to articulate the SCN mission well; ability to travel on occasion; excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, ability to work well with a team as part of a larger development effort; strong planning and organizational abilities; ability to take initiative; knowledge of various types of computer software.
