Position Summary Assist with management and delivery of human resources services for the School (payroll processing, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation). Primary responsibility for managing payroll processes for adjuncts, full time faculty, post docs, administrators, staff, student and casual employees. Interpret and develop procedures to meet University, federal and state employment laws guidelines, University human resources policies and the terms of collective bargaining agreements. Implement training sessions; conduct new hire orientations. Coordinate processing of Annual Compensation Program (ACP) and bonus submissions for all employees (faculty and administrators). Qualifications Required Education:Bachelor’s Degree HR or Related Field Preferred Education:Bachelor’s Degree HR training or certification e.g. SHRM Required Experience:2+ years human resources experience Preferred Experience:2+ years Experience in academic environment Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem solving and customer service skills. Knowledge of basic human resources concepts, practices, legislation, and procedures. Excellent organizational, problem solving and computer/technical skills. Ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies and procedures to a diverse employee population and to supervise work processes and staff . Ability to supervise staff. Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and strong knowledge of data base applications.
