The Atlantic Group Hiring for Entry Level Accountant Job at New York, NY Full Time

The Atlantic Group has partnered with an organization in the New York City area. They have an immediate need for an Entry Level Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.

Job Responsibilities:

-Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable data entry into accounting software and/or Microsoft Excel

-Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval

-Communicate with vendors for copies of invoices or discrepancies

-Maintain vendor folders

-Create invoices when requested

-Assist with month-end journal entries, reports, and mailings

-Assist with other projects as needed

Skills & Experience Required:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance

-Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience

-Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail

-Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Skills & Experience Preferred:

-Quickbooks experience

-Experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
