Job Summary
The Cost Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the company’s inventory transactions and inventory balances are correctly stated in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles This role will work with the finance and manufacturing operational teams and will collaborate and influence at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities:
· Coordination of cost accounting and reporting activities
· Track standard costs on work orders from start to completion.
· Establish annual labor and overhead rates
· Review, investigate and explain production variances on a routine basis
· Leads annual physical inventories and cycle counts, and inventory analysis
· Drive improvements to help company reach goals and KPI’s
· Reviews and compares assigned business’ operating results to established plans, standard costs, and previous actuals.
· Prepare forecasted standard cost of sales when provided unit sales levels
· Ability to perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business
· Financial reporting
· Assist with monthly close process
· Drive work process improvements
· Coordination of financial presentations
Work Experience/Educational Requirements:
· BA Degree in Accounting / CMA a plus.
· 7+ Years of Accounting Experience, with 5+ Years of manufacturing industry experience.
· Experience working with ERP systems. IQMS experience a plus.
Qualifications and Competencies:
· Strong attention to details, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task, work as a team member and independently, self-driven, adaptable, and patient.
· Ability to meet deadlines including those related to month-end closing and business plans
· Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
· Strong communication/people skills,
· Strong proficiency in MS office including Excel.
· Experience with visualization and analytical tools (Qlik, BI).
· Work with ethics and integrity.
