Job Summary:
The staff accountant will assist the SFS Controller in the day-to-day and month end accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financials and related reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
·Completes general accounting functions including report/spreadsheet preparation, and analysis.
·Completes various month-end close tasks including calculation and preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
·Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and reports.
·Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements and other reports
·Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
·Assist in other tasks as assigned such as provide information for audit requests and answer ad hoc questions on financial results.
·Back-up to Accounts Payable (A/P) and Invoicing & Accounts Receivable (A/R)
·Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
·Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Strong knowledge of MS Office (primarily Excel)
·Experience with Epicor, or any ERP, preferred, but not required
Education and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting
·2 years accounting experience
·Audit/ GL reconciliation Experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
