Opportunity summary: This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow into a first class HR Business Partner. As an HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting with staffing, ADA, labor relations, policies and procedures for our three New England Corrugated Plants. You will be assisting with human resource initiatives designed to drive continuous improvement of HR and profit and loss metrics. Overall, you will provide day-to-day HR functional support for the HR team.
How you will impact WestRock
· Command and control our hourly employee interview and onboarding process.
SuHelp support partnerships with front-line employees and supervisors to promote positive employee relations
· Help implement progressive discipline plans to monitor, review and make suggestions for corrective actions for attendance, punctuality, conduct and performance issues
· Support human resource policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and reporting
·· Coach and advise front-line employees and managers regarding employee relations policies, contractual labor agreements interpretation and proper operating procedures
· · Help investigate questions and/or complaints to resolve employee relations issues
What you need to succeed:
Business experience or at least two years of college level business studies.
Demonstrated ability to multi task in a busy office/factory environment
Demonstrated organization skills and attention to detail
Any experience with payroll systems, employee relations, recruiting, employment laws, benefits, HR principles will be be a plus
Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
Possess a desire to grow and develop an HR career in a complex and matrixed business environment
