Locus Recruiting (Recruitment Firm) is searching for (Outside Plant) OSP Engineer.

Location: Redmond, OR

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $37.00/hr ($62-77k). Significant opportunity for additional compensation in terms of overtime, stand-by/on-call, and bonus.

Responsibilities

OSP Engineer installs and repairs fiber optic telecommunications systems and equipment. The lineman Crew Lead works under the supervision of the OSP Construction Manager to install and maintain physical network, including plant ancillary equipment, fiber, coaxial, copper and power cable, and low power voltage systems.

Qualifications and Work Environment:

· Proficient with construction equipment, hand tools etc. Experience with fusion splicer, OTDR, fiber identifiers and scope a plus.

· Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder,

· Ability to climb poles using gaffs and climbing belt as needed

· Ability to drive company vehicles (bucket truck) in a safe and responsible manner and operate hydraulic aerial lifts

· Ability to perform job from high places (i.e. poles and roofs)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 – $77,000.00 per year
