The Sr HR Generalist partners with the local leadership team to support local goals, organizational development, growth, cultural change and innovation. This role is the primary contact for local day-to-day HR support and is a change agent for strategic and tactical improvements.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Serves as a key Employee Relations contact for facility to respond and follow up to day to day HR related issues such as performance management, benefits questions, attendance, payroll, and other workplace concerns.
· Coordinates the full scope of the employee life cycle including: identify resourcing issues, implementing local staffing plans to ensure staffing levels are met, managing recruiting, outreach activities, onboarding , and exit practices.
· Provides support and guidance to associates with the importance on maintaining a high performing work environment and emphasizing coaching, counseling, policies and standards.
· Manages attendance tracking system and administer attendance policy.
· Oversees the HR systems such as Kronos, Key Scan, and Success Factors by coordinating the collection of information, inputting information, and running/auditing reports.
· Ensures effective local communication (monthly operations meetings, 360, tool box talks, announcements, bulletin board, electronic communication board, etc.)
· Completes reports according to established methodologies. Pulling and analyzing data from HRIS systems and related data sources in order to complete headcount reporting, department metrics, plant metrics, Annual Service Awards reports, Compensation, etc.
· Coordinate and monitor hourly employee reviews mid-year and EOY for target completion.
· Assists in driving a high level of employee engagement by updating Company information, Coordination of on-site events: family day, holiday events, celebrations, sales meetings, community, retirees’, etc.
· Update and maintain job descriptions.
· An advocate and steward for a continuous improvement and safety culture.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels
· Must have Strong computer skills with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint).
· Ability in coaching and advising supervisors and managers on employee relations issues.
· Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop solutions.
· Analytical and problem solving skills
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
· 3 to 5 years in an HR Generalist role
Preferred
· PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Experience working with seasonal staffing and a temporary workforce
· Experience working with Kronos and SuccessFactors
