Ranch Operator Manager

Arapaho Valley Ranch is a gorgeous family-owned, guest ranch located in Colorado’s beautiful Grand County. We are located at the base of the Indian Peaks Wilderness within a 2-hour drive from Denver.
Our ranch is surrounded by the Arapaho National Forest and is nestled in one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. This area features hiking trails, waterfalls, and historic steam engines from the old town of Monarch. We have our own private hiking trail that leads to our “kissing swing” overlooking the headwaters of the Colorado River Valley.
Site Operator will be responsible for all functions of Arapaho Valley Ranch ensuring successful customer experience, business operations and property maintenance and safety. This person will oversee daily operations including staff supervision and will be required to live on site. This person will report directly to the owner and will need to have strong work ethic, independent decision-making ability and initiative to ensure successful operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversees and directs property operations and activities; establish and implement property operating procedures to ensure safety, responsiveness and operational excellence for all operations and activities.
· Recruit, hire and train maintenance, seasonal and property staff as needed.
· Oversee online reservation system for customer bookings.
· Understand and manage monthly and annual operating budgets.
· Work with Grounds and Facility Manager on renovation projects, obtaining bids, meeting with contractors and supervising work.
· Oversee store and bar merchandise and equipment rentals including store/bar hours, staff, supply inventory tracking, sales collections, equipment supply and maintenance and ordering to meet customer demand.
· Coordinate and manage all weddings and events with on-site staff.
· Responsible for updating all marketing sites including property website, social media, and email campaigns to drive customer engagement, retention and sales.
· Ensure customers have positive, safe, and memorable experience from start to finish.

Experience and Requirements:
· Minimum 5-10 years in hospitality management; preferably in running camping/ranch operations
· Experienced leader with proven record providing exceptional customer service operations.
· This role requires someone who is trained and skilled in running and maintaining equipment to run a wilderness ranch including generators, tractors, snowplows, water pumps and firearms.
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and comfortable with regular manual labor.
· Must be available to be on call 24/7 – weekends and after hours.
