Front-End Drupal 8/9 Theme Developer

We’re an award-winning, NY-based (yet fully remote) digital agency that loves what we do!

Our development efforts include e-commerce, B2B, B2C, intranet and extranet applications, from concept through launch and maintenance. We are experiencing rapid growth and looking to bolster our talented Front-End UI team by adding skilled Drupal developers on a contract basis for ongoing work across various assignments. This opportunity may be for current OR future projects.

We are looking for someone who can independently complete tasks in support of our Front-End Team. This person will report to the Director of Front End Development. The ideal candidate has solid experience supporting a lean, fast-moving team, requires minimal supervision, and has strong communication and time management skills. You’re a lover of markup and clean code, embrace web standards, meticulous about your code, and believe that responsive design and accessibility should just part of the normal development flow.

This position is fully remote but must be able to work East Coast hours.

Front End UI Developer

Technical requirements:

• Experience with Drupal (7/8/9) Theme Development and Configuration (twig and PHP). We are looking for Drupal experts!

• Experience with JavaScript, SASS (CSS3) and semantic HTML (HTML5)

• Experience with Bootstrap grid framework

• Expertise in responsive layout, mobile first development, and cross-browser testing

• Experience with GIT version control

• Experience with Jira and agile development principles

• Experience with WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 guidelines, automated accessibility testing, and best practices for accessible development
• WordPress custom theme development- Strongly preferred

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Progressive Web Applications

• Experience with component based-UI development in React.js

• Experience with Sketch or Figma for exporting assets

Other requirements:

• Must be authorized to work in the US and willing to undergo a background check

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to develop technical requirements and documentation based on business needs

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality control

• Problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills

• A positive, collaborative attitude and enjoy working with a team, but is self-motivated
