Human Resources Manager

ACD Distribution, a leading wholesaler servicing the game and toy industries in Middleton, WI, is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team. We’re a family operated company known for our customer service and large array of products. Our people make the difference.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Payroll: Maintaining accurate employee information in the company’s payroll system to include hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, termination processing and reporting.
• Record Retention: Creating and maintaining confidential employee personnel files and other employee and HR records.
• Recruitment: Liaison with departments to provide the staffing requirements for all positions. Advertise, screen, interview, and recommend placement of applicants.
• Employee relations: New Employee Orientation, policy/procedure review, performance review administration, and terminations.
• Safety Administration: Maintain and administer safety training; working with the Safety Committee to review and update Safety Policies.
• Benefit Administration: Employee enrollment, claim resolution, reconcile monthly invoices, prepares annual census and coordinates open enrollment compliance.
• Employee Events: Coordinate special events such as Christmas Party, Employee Picnic, Pot Lucks, etc.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent of 5+ years of experience working in a Human Resource department.
• Strong knowledge of HR laws and confidentiality required.
• Must have proven organization and multi-tasking skills with ability to prioritize.
• Problem solving skills and the ability to make sound business decisions.
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt the communication to the audience
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
