QA Automation Engineer Sr.

DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a motivated Senior-Level Automations Tester Specialist with currently active automation testing experience and an understanding of project management to contribute to consultation or automating our regression tests on our development efforts for COOL Compliance.
COOL Compliance is an in-house developed application to provide better management of access rights associated with company resources (entities): Applications, Purchasing approval limits, Database access, Physical checkpoints, Policy adherence, Membership in Active Directory groups. The access management is based on rules created by the entity owner that are comprised of business requirements such as SHIPS employee profiles, authorizations, and policy acknowledgements. Cool Compliance electronically manages adherence to the established rules and only allows access to be granted once the rules are satisfied. An interface from SHIPS allows the continuous evaluation each employee’s access. If an employee no longer meets the defined requirements, access to the entity is revoked. Cool Compliance includes web app, web services and batch feed engine, and a thin client user interface (browser). Please visit the Cool Compliance web site for more info.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Development, implementation, and maintenance of automated test scripts and model construction.
Create of the Automation Test Plans.
Resolve manual testing concerns and complex automation scripting and tool usage.
Perform needs analysis of applications and available testing tools.
Participate in the budget, audit, evaluation, consultation and review of products and processes.
Potentially participate in assisting with leading small to large teams on efforts as well as the hiring and onboarding of new team members
Present Testing vision, strategy, roadmap, and service offerings to leadership and business partners as needed
Vendor product system administrator of site, licenses, and environments
Contract establishing, adjusting, and negotiations involving resources and vendor products
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Technical degree preferred
Tricentis Tosca certifications up to and including Architect level
At least 7 years of total experience within a technology (IT) environment.
At least 7 years of total experience in design, planning and execution of system testing strategies/tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the SDLC/Agile effort.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
Minimum of 7 years hands-on test automation experience
Minimum of 7 years hands-on of manual testing experience
Extensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and web functionality testing
Expert with UFT, and HP/Micro Focus Quality Center (ALM), and Tricentis testing tools
Experience working with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Minimum of 3 years of SQL and XML
Active senior/expert-level expertise with developing automated test scripts and leads or has led a team of QA testers.
Solid understanding of SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile
Working experience of VBA/VBScript, PowerShell, ShellScript, C# .NET would also be a big plus for CI/CD Automation and integrations
Skills
Development using scripting tools & languages
Configuring/Setting up QA Technology environment
Application Testing, Mobile Testing, Security Testing, Smoke Testing, System Testing, etc.
Producing Testing Documentation
Application development tools & environments – Visual Studio, Eclipse, Xamarin, etc.
Testing tools and environments
Defining and supporting IT standards, procedures, and policies
Presentations and technical discussions as the expert/senior-level role
Other preferred tech: Azure DevOps, Tricentis Tosca/qTest/NeoLoad, OTA API, Oracle, SQL Server
Interests: Passion for QA, technology, and innovation
