Centenary College of
Louisiana, in partnership with the national search firm Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and
nominations for the position of College Registrar. Under the leadership of the Provost, the College Registrar directs and
manages all administrative, operational, and technical functions of the Office of the Registrar.
The College Registrar should be an
experienced, innovative, and dynamic leader who has a developed vision for the functioning of a technologically sophisticated
Registrar’s Office. The College Registrar ensures the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic and educational records of
Centenary College students and alumni and helps to ensure compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory agencies. The College
Registrar enforces academic policies and regulations of the College and leads a professional team who coordinates functions vital to the
institution such as course scheduling and registration, academic traditions and ceremonies, as well as the matriculation of new first-year,
transfer, and graduate students.
The College: A selective, private coeducational institution
founded in 1825, nationally recognized Centenary is the 43rd oldest college in the United States. The 117-acre campus is located
in Shreveport, LA, and is home to 600 students. Centenary ranks #1 in the nation among baccalaureate colleges for sending students abroad,
including the Centenary in Paris program for all first-year students. The College prepares global citizens to live productive lives
of vitality and purpose inside and outside the classroom, in the community, and in the world. Consistent with its founding as a Methodist

The Position: The College Registrar position will require both broad oversight as well as a
hands-on management style, including a working knowledge of current best practices in student registration and records. The College
Registrar serves as a key member of the administrative team and oversees the management of the Office of the Registrar. This role sets the
strategic and operational direction and goals for the office, while planning, organizing, and managing resources, staff, and activities to
achieve the mission and goals of the College. The essential functions of the position include:
The Community: Centenary is located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Situated in
the northeast corner of the state near the Texas and Arkansas borders, and within easy driving distance to major metropolitan areas such as
Dallas, Houston, and New Orleans, Shreveport is home to nearly 400,000 and is a thriving locality with year-round festivals and outdoor
sports. The cultural diversity of the area has made it a “foodie” destination. Beautiful parks, waterways, nature preserves, and
