Job Description:
Responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external). With this role’s greater level of experience, the Talent Acquisition Principal will manage senior leader level, technical and/or non-technical exempt professional positions, and other related responsibilities as assigned. Additionally, this role will be tasked with attracting Director level and above talent and or specialized skills for AEP.

Partners with senior leadership to create job descriptions, set sourcing strategy and manage all communication throughout the recruiting cycle.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with senior level talent for current and future opportunities across all functional areas of the business.
Experience providing exceptional customer service to all internal stakeholders, including senior leadership members.
Demonstrated experience creating a search process for senior level positions that can be used across all business functions and locations and recommending best course of action.
Work closely with talent management on succession planning and talent mapping for all critical positions.
Requires the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. This role will serve as a useful resource to other Talent Acquisition employees.
Expert sourcing capabilities utilizing traditional and nontraditional resources, such as passive recruiting through social media and other channels, along with career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
Manages internal transfer process, including screening, occasional coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
Supports the TA leadership by leading others as directed, lead projects and needed deliverables as required.
High-touch engagement with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
Understands and communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (eg, benefits, multi-level compensation packages, non-compete agreements).
Responsible to ensure onboarding and new hire orientation processes occur.
Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to industry.
Takes the lead in the development of one or more annual Affirmative Action Plans.
Suggests and helps implement on-going process improvements to ensure an effective, efficient and compliant recruiting process.
Partner with HR business partners, total rewards, and TA leaders to collaborate on executive talent needs, pipeline and offers.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in human resource management or related field preferred.
Experience: Seven years’ demonstrated experience in a mix of corporate and agency environments sourcing and recruiting of applicants in Vice President and Director level professional exempt positions, including managing the entire recruiting process as a functional expert in any one of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Operations leadership. Previous knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and social media recruiting sources.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
