General Summary
Responsible for receiving calls, incoming and outgoing mail, and routing mail to appropriate department.
Work is performed with considerable independent judgment.
Supervision Received and Exercised
Works under the direct supervision of the Department Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abililties
Duties and Responsibilities –
Responsible for answering all incoming calls, filing, faxing, copying, data entry, mailing, scheduling meetings/appointments, and handling customer service.
Respond to customer and/or citizen phone inquiries as required.
Compiles and prepares data for various reports such as vehicle inventory list.
Assists in obtaining quotes for various minor projects.
Provides assistance to the Department Director.
Performs routine clerical and administrative work as assigned by Supervisor.
Enters daily trash tickets & weekly vehicle repair data into spreadsheets.
Assists with reporting complaints to Miami-Dade County in reference to damaged signs, dead animals, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
Minimal Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Minimum 2 years related experience or any equivalent combination of related education and experience preferred.
Knowledge of grammar and spelling.
Customer service skills.
Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
