Mike Ward Automotive, located in a beautiful facility at Lucent Blvd and C470 in Highlands Ranch, is hiring for a Human Resources Manager to handle all HR & Payroll functions for approximately 120 employees for all our brands, including Infiniti, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce.
Position Overview
The HR Manager performs the clerical tasks necessary for maintaining accurate personnel files. Enter new employees into the accounting and payroll systems and employee benefits data bases in a timely manner. Coordinate the New Hire, Employee Performance Review and Termination processes as well as assist with employee issues to ensure we are in compliance. Present employee benefits options to newly eligible employees on a monthly basis and coordinate and assist with annual open enrollment meetings and registrations. Reconcile employee benefit accounts to ensure accurate withholding on paychecks and timely payment of benefit premiums. Ensure timely renewal of the Sales Personnel Licenses. Process all unemployment and worker’s compensation claims. Assist with various audit tasks as assigned. Maintain the employee handbook. Complete an in-depth payroll twice a month with accuracy. Ensure security and confidentiality of personnel information. Conduct quarterly safety training meetings. This position reports to the Controller.
Who would I interact with?
This position interacts daily with the Accounting Manager, Department Managers, Controller and Office Staff. In addition, this position interacts frequently with all employees as needed.
What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
· Entering employee payroll updates into the Netchex and employee benefits portals.
· Onboarding new employees including I-9 verification.
· Filing/scanning/uploading documents timely in personnel files.
· Coordinate and assist in presenting all new hire benefit meetings and annual open enrollment meetings.
· Communicating employee changes to providers, paying benefit premiums and reconciling accounts timely.
· Processing salesperson new / renewal applications timely.
· Processing unemployment and worker’s compensation claims.
· Preparing and reviewing pay plans, job descriptions, performance reviews and employee writeups.
· Process payroll twice a month with accuracy to include completing spreadsheets throughout the month.

Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 yearly
Employee Benefits: Health insurance, basic life insurance, employee paid group dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k plan, 48 hours annual paid sick leave and paid vacation starting at 5 days after one year of employment.
