Accounts Payable & Human Resources Clerk
Brief Position Overview: This position is the sole person responsible for managing our employees’ payroll and benefits. It is also responsible for ensuring timely payment of vendors and other miscellaneous administrative/accounting duties.
Who Are We: Northeast Security Solutions is a 2nd generation, family-owned business that has been operating out of West Springfield, MA since 1988. We sell and install various security hardware products such as burglar & fire alarm systems, surveillance cameras, key card access, safes, intercom systems, and perform locksmith services. We also have a fire extinguisher division under a DBA Atwood Fire Extinguishers. We’ve been growing our annual sales around 15% a year for the last 3 consecutive years through a mix of local acquisitions and organic growth while striving to keep that family business feeling. We’re a team of about 15-20 employees with an average employment tenure of over 8 years.
Who Will Thrive In This Role: The type of person who will do well in this position is someone who is very well organized and good at staying on top of their workload. We’re looking for someone who thrives on attention to detail. Someone who knows their reconciliations always balance out and is capable of getting their workload accomplished without a lot of supervision. We’re also looking for someone who makes our employees feel valued. They’re quick to respond to an employee asking about the details of their benefits while also making recommendations to them on how they can better take advantage of what’s available to them. Finally, we want to find someone who is just as committed as we are to see the organization continually improve to give more value to our customers, our employees, and our community.
