The HR Business Partner provides human resources leadership and coaching to their assigned client group. The HR Business Partner is responsible for employee relations, training and development, and strategic support within the business unit. As a partner to the organization the HR Business Partner is a critical member of the business unit’s management team.
Responsible to manage day-to-day Employee Relations.
Responsible to ensure proper interpretation and application of company policies and employment law requirements.
Responsible for development, review, and update of human resources policies for applicability and compliance.
Responsible for swift investigation and resolution of employee relation matters.
Responsible for providing strategic guidance and insight for effective people operation of the business unit.
Partner with business unit leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and morale.
Responsible for facilitating open honest communication to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Partner with Talent Acquisition team on sourcing, selecting, and onboarding of the best candidates as required.
Partner with internal teams to indentify and develop leadership pipeline.
Responsible for coordinating, developing, and/or delivering leadership training to all levels within the business unit.
Responsible for training on policy, procedure, performance management, conflict resolution, compliance, and communication.
Partner with other HR functional areas to improve processes, share best practices, and drive operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Exceptional working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
Strong professional demeanor that exhibits discretion and maintains privacy and confidentiality
Effective communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Effective leadership, coaching, and mentorship skills
Results driven with strong business acumen
Change leader able to manage multiple projects and competing timelines
Strategic HR planning and decision making
Dedication to continuous improvement
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field from regionally accredited not-for-profit University required.
Five (5) years of experience in employee relations, training and development, and strategic HR alignment.
Master’s degree in Human Resources, MBA, or similar preferred.
Professional certification in human resources preferred.
Project management certification preferred.
International experience helpful.
